Oravet-Plaque Prevention Gel
Oravet plaque prevention gel forms and invisible barrier that slows plaque and tarter formation on your pets teeth. Your pet will have this gel applied after the teeth are cleaned. This application last for two weeks and should be followed by at home applications on a weekly basis. Oravet has been proven to reduce the formation of plaque and tarter and can be used in conjunction with any other at home dental care you provide.
How it works
Teeth are electrostatically negative, This means that they carrier a negative charge. Oravet uses materials with molecules that are positively charged at one end and thus “stick” to the teeth. These molecules act as tiny magnets that hold the protective barrier in place. The bacteria are unable to stick to this barrier and cannot gain acces to the teeth. Oravet has no active ingredients and is thus inert. It is safe for all pets and can be used in conjunction with any other home dental care products.
How to Apply
Oravet should be applied prior to any other home dental care products as these may temporarily effect the electrostatic charge of the teeth. No abrasion is needed. Simply get the oravet in contact with the teeth and the barrier will stick. This barrier is invisible and is less than the thickness of a human hair. Concentrate on the outside of the teeth, especially the gum line. The tongue does a wonderful job of keeping the inside of the teeth clean. This application takes less than two minutes once a week. Oral care has never been so easy.
