New Beginnings
Hummus, Tofu, and Anna
Hi Pam/Sarah,
Just a quick note to let you all know that Hummus and Tofu (now Laurel and Violet) and Anna (now Honey - as in honeysuckle to keep with the flower-themed names!) are doing great and we are loving having them! They are so funny and cute - I can't believe someone did not snatch them up sooner! The 1st day or two was difficult - lots of diarrhea and vomit (the storm did not help) but I found out quickly that everybody can get a bath in the sink in under 10 minutes! I am slowly giving them some soft kibble with the EN and they like it but their favorite is scrambled eggs! I mix that with a little kibble in the morning when I have time and they love it. We are also using a very small amount of sweet potato or pumpkin in the eve with the food - another favorite! My sister has always done this for her dog (that I rescued for her) and I thought these girls might too. They take naps in my bed or my daughter's and sleep at night in their own beds inside a little pup tent (just when I have to work) Got them a play yard for outside with a cover (I have heard horror stories about hawks!) but they are never out there alone. They LOVE outside! Honey nudges the sisters to get them to run with her - it is so cute! So, all in all, I think we are a perfect fit and I want to thank you for everything! I will send pictures soon.
Warm regards,
Denise
Pudgie
I just wanted to say thank you for taking good care of Pudgie for the years that she was in the shelter. She is the sweetest little cat and we are so happy to have her as part of our family and give her a place to call home. My little boy, Will, absolutely loves her and it seems that the feeling is mutual. She rubs all over him and can't stop purring. He has started calling her 'Honey'. She has been pretty cautious about her surrounding so far. We have set her up in a spare bedroom with everything she needs and she seems quite content hanging out under the bed. Tonight she has started to explore the rest of the house. She acts like she is looking for other cats, like she just can't believe she is the only one in the house. Maybe it would be good to get her a companion since she has been around other cats her whole life. Do you recall if she had a buddy at the shelter? She has taken to our dog, Zeus, very well. She rubs all over his legs and is very curious about him. He seems happy to have a kitty in the house again. I've attached a couple of photos.
Thank you for taking care of our Honey and all of the cats at the shelter!

Mrs. Bradshaw:
I wanted to thank you for Eli. He is absolutely wonderful and a joy.
My daughter is in love with him and he is being treated like a king. I am enclosing some pictures she took of him. He has a spot on her bed and sleeps with her. He likes to have his backside scratched and is very playful. It took him a while to adjust to playing, but now is ever so playful. Will bark at you if you aren't paying attention to him. Right now we are still working on barking when she leaves the apartment. She went to the office to turn his papers into her landlord and he barked the entire time. So that is our only project right now. Otherwise, he potty's well, eats well and has brought so much joy to my daughter. She is disabled, lives alone and needed a companion. He is perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better friend for her.
thank you so much.

Krueger
Hey Pam,
Krueger here, look I have a new mom. We played and played I am having a really good time. Look at all this room I have to play in. When I left Ohio with Jodi she told them she would send pictures of me and my new mom. I was even good riding in that big car (Van). I showed my forever mom what a good boy I am. I was very obedient. She told me to sit and I did, then we played this game sit, stay, and wait for her to call me, and I came. She really likes me and I really like her. Then I met these three girls. Taffy, Puggly-ugly, and Shorty. They are so little, we played for a while, and my mom said, "well looks like he likes them". Those girls went up on the porch in chairs and went to sleep, while I played with my mom.
Taffy went home and my mom is going to keep Puggly-ugly and Shorty until my Uncle Danny and Aunt Rochelle come back from Florida. Uncle Danny is my grandma's brother. This is a cool place and I know I'm going to be happy here. If my Uncle can't have his pets when he moves, my mom asked to keep them because she knows them. And, now I do too. That way nobody has to find them a new home. And he can see them when he comes to visit. And, I will have someone to play with as well as my mom.
My mom said she will send more pictures if I set still long enough. Because, you know that's the pup in me. Today I got some toys, this big chewy bone, and a rope thing for big guys like me to fetch.
Thank you Pam for making the right decision to let me have Colleen as my New Forever Mom, she's great. She's just my style, and everything about her drives me wild.
Sincerely,
Krueger,
and my Forever Mom, Colleen
P.S. I don't know if anyone had ever seen Krueger smile or not but I did. I hugged his neck and he looked at me and lifted his lips and clicked his teeth together. He was smiling, it was so cute. So I hugged him again and he did it again. He tilted his head looking at me and did it again the third time. He is a character, and has a heart full of love. I can't thank you enough for helping me make my sister so happy, since the recent loss of her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Dan.
Krueger is the right young man to fill the void, and she loves him.
Thank you,
Thelma (Jodi) New
